USGS Geospatial Data Contracts
The Rolla USGS Center administers two sets of geospatial data contracts, the Geospatial Product and Service Contracts (GPSC) and the Commercial Remote Sensing Data Contract (CRSDC). These contracts provide access to selected firms for geospatial data services and commercially available remotely sensed airborne and satellite data. The GPSC and the CRSDC were developed to support The National Map, but written in a manner that allows other Federal, State, and local agencies to also use these contracts.
The GPSC are the replacement contracts for the Cartographic Services Contract (CSC) and are administered by the Commercial Partnerships Team at the National Geospatial Technical Center III in Rolla, MO, with contracting officer services provided by the Office of Central Region Services, Acquisitions and Grants Branch in Denver, CO. GPSC is a suite of contracts providing flexibility and tools for the future. The GPSC is broad in scope and can accommodate activities related to standard, nonstandard, graphic, and digital cartographic products. Services provided may include, but are not limited to, photogrammetric mapping and aerotriangulation; orthophotography; thematic mapping (for example, land characterization); analog and digital imagery applications; IFSAR and LIDAR; geographic information systems development; surveying and control acquisition, including ground-based and airborne Global Positioning System; and much more. The CRSDC contract is administered by the Mid-Continent Geographic Science Center in Rolla, MO and provides government agencies with access to a broad range of commercially available satellite data. The USGS has negotiated advantageous CRSDC terms on behalf of purchasing organizations, including highly competitive pricing and the most flexible and least restrictive licensing arrangements offered to date by the commercial satellite remote sensing industry. Contact us at gpsc@usgs.gov or crsdc@usgs.gov for information on how we can provide Federal, State, and local agencies with access to these two sets of contracts. |
